A gorgeous wine, with a dominant grape of carignan. Just shows what old vines can do in the right soil. Rich, juicy and fruit-forward, it has aromas of white pepper, cassis, violets, and sage. Lush and decadent, with a lingering chocolate-raspberry finish.
Grapes: 40% Carignan, 25% Mourvèdre, 30% Syrah, 5% Grenache
Terroir: Limestone terrace and gravel with pebbled soil.
Winemaking: The carignan grapes undergo semi-carbonic maceration. The syrah and mourvèdre grapes are destemmed and fermented at a temperature of 28 ° C for 14 days. Malolactic fermentation and aging takes place in stainless steel.
